The Association of Fashion Designers of Kyrgyzstan conducted a series of trainings “Design in the Fashion Industry” and “Marketing in the Fashion Industry” with the support of the “Trade promotion Program in the Kyrgyz Republic” implemented by the International Trade Center (ITC) and financed by the Government of Switzerland.

“We have been implementing these projects for several years, and we are constantly updating information for our participants. And this time we have integrated in our projects the knowledge gained during the trainings in Moscow so that as many people working in the fashion industry get quality and relevant information and practice skills,” — said Vitalina Shevchenko, executive director of the association.

From May 22 to June 22, there were conducted rounds of 11 trainings within the framework of the project “Design in the Fashion Industry;” in which took part 17 companies.

Participants were informed  about the features of creating designer collections, identifying the target audience, fabrics and materials of modern fashion. Trainings included also practical exercises, during which participants learned the rules of observing proportions and color combinations when creating collections, modeling, building complex shapes and eliminating design defects.

From May 30 to June 22, 8 trainings were held within the framework of the project “Marketing in the Fashion Industry.” Lecturers told about modern approaches to the analysis of the target audience in the fashion industry, fashion forecasting and patterns of change, the basic principles of effective product mix structuring, sales and branding. Leaders and marketing specialists of 14 companies took part in the trainings.
