With the support of Trade Promotion Programme in Kyrgyzstan, implemented by International Trade Centre (ITC) and financed by the Government of Switzerland, representative of the Kyrgyz Fashion Designers’ Association participated in the training workshop of Fashion Consulting Group (FCG) – the leading Consulting Agency in Russia’s Fashion Industry.

The training “Management of Fashion Assortment” took place in Moscow from April 16 to 20, 2018. It was attended by designers, apparel stores owners, business-analysts and managers from different countries: Belarus, Armenia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan as well as different cities of Russia. Kyrgyzstan was represented by Vitalina Shevchenko, Director of Fashion Designers’ Association.

The training was conducted by Galina Kravchenko, Director of the Department “Assortment”, Manager of FCG/ FASHIONSNOOPS, an experienced specialist in the development of commercial collections of clothing and footwear, assortment management in retail chains and wholesale companies.

In the course of the training the participants learned how to identify key groups in the fashion products range, specify competitive advantages and demonstrate assortment competencies, understand the balanced assortment structure and develop the balanced range matrix, exploit the assortment as a marketing reflection, understand purchasing procedures for each particular retail buyer, choose on fashion trend close to the buyer, adjust fashion trends to apparel collection of a mass market segment. The participants were also trained to make decisions on optimization of the KPI assortment indicator, plan the inventory stock for the season, estimate next season’s range groups profits, streamline inventory planning, and design the assortment matrix.
